Baby Bento - Sweet Potato Animals

Sweet potatoes are consumed in mass quantities in our household. My son adores them. They are easy to cook and easy for little hands to grab, plus they're packed with nutrients. It's hard to go wrong with these guys.

This Bento Contains:
  • Sweet Potato Animals (more under veggies)
  • Roasted Zucchini, Yellow Squash, and Red Pepper
  • Plum
Despite his dietary restrictions, it's easy to tell my Senorcito is still getting plenty to eat! He's too quickly grown from a sweet baby to a happy and curious (yet still sweet) toddler.

Breakfast Baby Bento

I made this bento awhile back, but it keeps catching my eye so I figured it was worth a post. This was breakfast for my sweet little Senorcito. He happily devoured everything.

The Bento contains:
  • Banana Rice Pancakes
  • Blueberries, Green Grapes, Nectarine Fleurs

Baby Bento - Homemade Pasta Sauce

Lately, I've been experimenting with making pasta sauces. Senorcito is no longer happy with plain noodles, and I can't blame him seeing as they pretty much taste like water. Since he can't do tomato sauce, I've been mixing all sorts of other vegetables together. I've found that pretty much anything that starts out with roasted red, orange, or yellow bell peppers and olive oil ends up great. Most recently, I made a sauce with roasted peppers and carrots. Yum!

This Baby Bento contains:
  • Rice Pasta w/ Roasted Pepper and Carrot sauce
  • Chicken-Apple Meatballs (with onion, too)
  • Red Grapes cut in quarters
  • Steamed Broccoli Slaw
